FIVE students from Joon No's Taekwondo are heading to Mexico for the World Junior Taekwondo Championships.

The Taekwondo centre in Doncaster will be the best-represented club in the Australian team with Michael Metaxotos, Kanica May, Kostan Ioannou, and Bryanna Cheong to take part in the championships in Tijuana from March 6-9.

Janelle Hocking was another who qualified but may miss the tournament because of injury.

All the students, who train under head instructor Joon No, qualified for the World Championships after contesting the national championships last year.

No has also been appointed head coach of the Australian team.
